The 4 pillars of quality

2. No acceleration technologies

Before being processed, the plant matter is once more hand-sorted and hand-cleaned, if necessary. In the subsequent comminution process we consciously avoid high-speed processing technologies. The high rotational speeds of such machines generate heat and crush the plant material, which has adverse effects on the quality of the plants.

The process of transforming the plant into medicine requires special attendance and attention if the active ingredients, the aroma, and the plant's vitality are to be preserved as much as possible. The plants that serve as the basis of our mother tinctures are therefore cut by hand. Moreover, crushing of the plant matter is minimized due to the use of sharp knives, the degree of comminution can be varied individually, and the plant matter is not subjected to heat. Only as much plant matter is cut as needed in the next processing step.

We use no high-speed machinery in any of the further processing steps either. Our macerates, which are left in earthenware pots for 10–20 days after grinding in the mortar grinder, are hand-stirred by us each day. We consciously use no accelerated agitators for this either.
