1. Top-quality plants
The quality of the plants is an essential prerequisite for later product quality. Our focus on the plants’ quality starts with selecting the right location, continues with extensive care during the plants’ growth phase and finally culminates in determining the perfect harvesting time. Our plants are attended to by individuals and harvested at the point in time when their efficacy, aroma and vitality have reached a maximum. Only those plants that fully meet our requirements are harvested and made into curative tinctures. The farmers we cooperate with all have a sound knowledge of medicinal herb cultivation and grow their plants organically.
Plants that are not suitable for cultivation due to their particular habitat preferences and nature are picked by our wild plant gatherers. We are personally familiar with the habitats of our wild plants, and they comply with our strict quality standards. Harvesting in the wild habitats is done with great care and at the plants’ most opportune point of ripeness.
As soon as possible after harvesting, the plants are brought to Ceres Heilmittel AG. Most of our farms or gathering spots are in close proximity. On arriving, the plants are still fresh and full of vitality, offering perfect conditions for the production of high-grade mother tinctures.
