Passing on this knowledge — that is the mission of the Ceres Akademie. For years, Ceres has been offering courses, seminars and online formats aimed at two groups: healthcare professionals seeking to deepen their knowledge of herbal medicine, and all those personally interested in exploring medicinal plants.
Head, Heart and Hand
The Ceres Akademie understands learning as a lively, holistic process. Three dimensions are central: head, heart and hand.
The head stands for sound knowledge: botanical identification, pharmacological basics, therapeutic indications, regulatory framework. The Akademie imparts scientifically validated knowledge — from experienced healthcare professionals who approach their fields with competence and depth.
The heart stands for the emotional and sensory dimension: tasting a mother tincture, smelling a plant, observing in the garden, exchanging ideas with like-minded people. Many course formats include visits to medicinal plant gardens, insights into production, and direct contact with the plant material.
The hand stands for practice: case studies, application exercises, consultation conversations. Knowledge that can be translated into everyday life.
In our events, you will experience firsthand the therapeutic potential, the unique aromas and the colour character of over 60 medicinal plants — directly with all your senses.
The Offer
The Ceres Akademie offers in-person seminars at idyllic locations in Switzerland, online webinars for targeted knowledge transfer, and the Ceres Experience Day — a behind-the-scenes look at production, designed especially for healthcare professionals in training.
Additionally, there is a closed professional area for registered healthcare professionals: a digital continuing education and information portal with in-depth content on the Ceres medicinal products, indications and the scientific basis.
The Speaker Network
What distinguishes the Akademie is the breadth and depth of the speaker network. Physicians specialising in internal medicine and phytotherapy, specialists in gynaecology and naturopathy, pharmacists focusing on homeopathy and spagyrics, midwives, alternative practitioners, veterinarians, Ceres wild collectors and production managers — all bring their own perspective on the world of medicinal plants.
Some speakers come from within the company itself: Dr Roger Kalbermatten, founder and medicinal plant researcher, Christoph Kalbermatten, managing director and pharmacist, Matthias Plath, production manager Kesswil, Raphael Stucki, head of wild collection and quality control.
